Contraindications

While our treatments are safe and performed by qualified medical professionals, it is important that every patient is fully informed about possible contraindications. Below, we have listed the health conditions and circumstances in which certain treatments may not be recommended or may require prior medical consultation.

Laser facial treatments /Fotona 3D, Fotona 4D, Fotona 4D Men, Twinlight, Smootheye/

  • Pregnancy and breastfeeding
  • Active skin disease on the treatment area (e.g. herpes, eczema, inflamed acne, psoriasis)
  • Autoimmune diseases (e.g. lupus, scleroderma)
  • Use of photosensitizing medications (e.g. isotretinoin, certain antibiotics)
  • Epilepsy
  • Tendency to develop keloid scars
  • Pacemaker or metal implant near the treatment area
  • Severe diabetes or bleeding disorders
  • Recent (untreated) skin cancer or malignant disease
  • Sun exposure, tanning bed, or self-tanning within 2 weeks prior to treatment

Laser intimate treatments /IncontiLase, IntimaLase, ProlapLase, RenovaLase, Méhszájseb lézeres kezelése/

  • Pregnancy
  • Active vaginal or pelvic infection (e.g. yeast infection, bacterial vaginosis, active HPV infection, sexually transmitted diseases)
  • During menstruation (avoid treatment 2–3 days before and after as well)
  • Severe uterine or vaginal prolapse (may be a contraindication for certain treatments)
  • Recent surgery or childbirth (< 3 months)
  • Unexplained vaginal bleeding
  • Cancer affecting the pelvic or vaginal area
  • Autoimmune diseases or immunosuppressed conditions
  • Untreated diabetes or blood clotting disorders
  • Pacemaker or any active implant in the pelvic area

Laser snoring treatments /NightLase/

  • Pregnancy
  • Active infection in the throat or upper airways
  • Recent surgery in the oral or throat area (< 3 months)
  • Active cancer in the head or neck region
  • Autoimmune disease or immunosuppressed condition
  • Untreated diabetes or blood clotting disorders
  • Pacemaker or metal implant near the treatment area

Aesthetic medical treatments /Botox, Hyaluronic Acid Fillers, Profhilo/

  • Pregnancy and breastfeeding
  • Active skin infection or inflammation at the injection site
  • Autoimmune disease or immunosuppressed condition
  • Untreated diabetes or blood clotting disorders
  • Known allergy or hypersensitivity to botulinum toxin or filler ingredients
  • Ongoing antibiotic or anticoagulant therapy
  • Active herpes infection or cold sores on the treatment area
  • Cancer or precancerous conditions
  • Recent aesthetic or surgical procedures in the same area
